New Parking Perk in Reading: 15 Minutes Free on Penn Street
The Reading Parking Authority has extended the "Free 10 on Penn" program to offer 15 minutes of free parking, up from 10 minutes, on Penn Street. This decision, effective from Thursday morning, follows positive feedback from the initial pilot program. Mayor Eddie Moran advocated for the extension to aid those running quick errands, particularly in picking up mobile orders from local restaurants. The program, launched as a collaboration with Mayor Moran, will undergo a second trial phase until February 1, 2024, to evaluate the new time limit's effectiveness.

Focused and Prepared: Eagles Take
on Chiefs in High-Stakes Game
As the Philadelphia Eagles return from their bye week, they are set to face the Kansas City Chiefs in a Super Bowl rematch on Monday Night Football. Despite the emotional context of their previous loss, the team, including center Jason Kelce and tackle Jordan Milata, is focusing on improvement and preparation. Head Coach Nick Sirianni is emphasizing the importance of learning from past games while maintaining emotional control. The team faces challenges with injuries to key players but is bolstered by the return of Cam Jurgens to the offensive line.
Danish Midfielder Sanders Ngabo Joins Philadelphia Union in Strategic Signing
The Philadelphia Union have signed 19-year-old Danish midfielder Sanders Ngabo from Lyngby Boldklub, effective January. The contract, spanning two years with options for additional years, is part of the Union's efforts to strengthen their 2024 roster. Ngabo, a Danish youth international and native of Copenhagen, has been significant in Lyngby's rise to the Superliga. His signing follows the Union's recent attempts to bolster their midfield, with varying levels of success in past acquisitions.
